The Public Theater is on a mission to bring “radical inclusiveness” to the community of New York City. Introducing Public Works where the spectator becomes the participant in a mammoth theater event at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park every two years. This is the rawest form of theater, using teamwork and gathering people from all walks of life to experience performance together.
WHY WE LOVE IT
We love any effort to bring people who wouldn’t otherwise meet together to form new living breathing communities. We saw first hand how a project like this can transform lives and forge new meaningful bonds between people from all walks of life in a city as big and diverse as New York. Beautiful.
